I just read this one, and really enjoyed it!  The story of Maggie Atwood and Becky McCabe, mother and daughter, both champion riders. They vowed to never, ever, go up against one another. Classic Hot Toddy

Ingredients
1 cup water
2 ounces whiskey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon honey
1 star anise pod
1 cinnamon stick, for garnish
2 lemon slices, for garnish

Directions
Pour the water into a small saucepan, and bring to a simmer.
Pour the hot water into a mug, or heat-proof glass.
Add the whiskey, lemon juice, honey, and star anise. Stir well.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick and lemon slices, and serve…with love!
